Thirsk Hockey Club strive to minimize the risks to young people taking part and to maximise their enjoyment and well-being during their Hockey journey. Everyone that is involved in hockey has a duty of care to others within the sport and a legal and moral duty to ensure their safety and welfare.

If you have any Welfare and Safeguarding questions our welfare officer can be contacted at thirskhc.welfare@gmail.com. This is the first point of contact within the club for coaches, volunteers, parents and all players for any concern about junior (U18) and senior welfare, instances of poor practice, and to report any injuries which may occur during hockey activity.

All volunteers, coaches, team managers, technical delegates and officials are encouraged to work to high standards in line with Thirsk Hockey Club’s policies.
