The A team provided a superb display of hockey to rack up another set of four wins, but not quite a clean sheet. The first game against Harrogate was not as clear cut as at the previous meeting but we still won 2-0. Next was Huddersfield where some slack defending allowed them to level to 1-1 but then we again put together some strong passing and tackling and finished 3-1. Brigg tried hard but were not able to hold back the attacks, Thirsk running out 7-0 winners and to end the day we improved on that against Ben Rhydding with a 9-0 win(but Ben R. say it was only 7-0!). Scorers were Ollie, Oscar and Cameron, sorry lost count of who scored! With Sam providing all round defence and forward action, Freddie and Charles keeping the defence solid with Ollie in goal having to get a bit more involved with a couple of good saves. Thank you to William for being the substitute and getting time on in each game. Another very impressive team display that brought many positive comments from the other team managers. So it looks like another promotion, this time up to division B. This group make a team manager proud.
