Well done to the Thirsk boys today. It was always going to be a challenging day at Weetwood with some quality opposition and this was not made easier by some decisions that on another day may have gone our way. Two wins and three losses today with goals for Jack Foxley (2) and Joe Tart (1), a number of quality saves by our keeper Jack Disbury (debut in goal) and a last gasp clearance off the line by George Hunt. Joseph O’Gorman combined well with Jack Foxley and Jack Nicholls down the right flank, there were some lovely through balls from Teddy Hunt, Joe Tart kept plugging away and deserved his goal and Jack McNeill stuck to his task wherever he was put (defence, midfield and upfront). All in all the team battled hard and played some good hockey that perhaps deserved better results.
