Wakefield Silcoates School saw Thirsk's U14 Girls C team gaining promotion for the second month in a run. Fantastic team play by all players. Managers player of the day goes to Lily Aikman who having taken a ball to the front of the head (lovely egg) in the first game got up and just continued to play. As captain for the day she lead from the front.
New GK Chelsea didn't see much of the ball in the first two games; in fact she did not touch the ball at all, however she showed she was still aware of the game as she could so easily have switched off and in the last match saved a ball that was heading for the goal.
This team is growing in confidence each time they play, which is showing with the results gained. Well done to all who played and also to all parents for their support.
